The Possessive Adjectives
Ukrainian possessives fall into two groups. The first group (мій, твій, наш, ваш, їхній) must agree with the noun they describe in gender, number, and case — just like adjectives. The second group (його, її) never changes form at all.

Declining мій / твій
The possessive мій (my) changes for gender, number, and case. The pattern for твій (your, informal) is identical — just replace м- with тв-. Here is the full declension of мій:

Declining наш / ваш
The possessives наш (our) and ваш (your formal/plural) follow the same pattern as each other. Here is the full declension of наш:

Using Possessives in Sentences
Possessives usually come before the noun, just like in English. Word order is flexible in Ukrainian, but possessive + noun is the most natural default.
